Made in Brasil was Casa Daros’s first exclusive exhibition of Brazilian art and was conceived as an homage to the magnificent artistic environment of that country.

Given the quantity of Brazilian art in the Daros Latinamerica Collection, it seemed only fitting to devote an exhibition exclusively to it in its country of origin.

Made in Brasil brought together works of Waltercio Caldas, José Damasceno, Antonio Dias, Milton Machado, Cildo Meireles, Vik Muniz, Ernesto Neto, and Miguel Rio Branco. Their individual artistic qualities are far too diverse to provide a homogeneous overall picture but instead demonstrate the enormous scope of Brazilian artistic output in recent years, apparent here in the superb individual series of works on show.

The exhibition also tied in with individual presentations by Brazilian artists in the Daros Latinamerica Collection—such as Lenora de Barros, Iole de Freitas, Rosângela Rennó, and Eduardo Berliner—who had already exhibited at Casa Daros.
